Family: His father is a mage, his mother a noblewoman who has had a few mages in the family before. He has a large family, and is the youngest. All of his siblings are mages as well. He has five siblings, in order, Alice, Sasha, Adalai, Sarah, and Demu.

Kadin is the youngest of a large, respected family that has produced quite a few mages. As the baby of an immediate family that is mostly female, he was somewhat spoiled and doted upon as a child. His father disdained of his youngest son's attitude, as the boy expressed no great desire to be a mage, and no great aptitude for learning. His father, being exceptionally traditional, opposed Kadin's radical views and felt he needed more structure. When Kadin tested positively, he claimed it was exactly what the boy needed in his life. Kadin, on the other hand, prefers life as it has always been, simple, and slow. He'd like to prove to his father that he has some worth, though he doesn't enjoy studying things he's told to. He enjoys riding most of all.

He is, as his father would accuse, somewhat spoiled. Growing up enjoying the priviledges he did, he takes a lot for granted. He doesn't have a great deal of pity for poorer folk, I don't think he really thinks about them very often. He's pretty likely to flaunt his family's name, or the prestige. He enjoys being the center of attention.He's a little lazy, a little bit of smart-ass, and he thinks that he doesn't have to work so hard because he's clever. Which he is, but not half as much as he thinks he is.
